Kolmanskop

The diamond mining town of Kolmanskop (Kolmannskuppe) in Namibia was abandoned in the 1950s. Built in the architectural style of a German town, the buildings have been left open to the elements. The windows have disappeared; sand is filling the ground floor rooms and blocking entrances. The beautiful colours of the walls are fading and the interior fittings decaying.
